Nursing and Feeding Baby Health

When I first had my child I was unaware of the many things that we would go through. When they get sick it’s very stressful, we all want our children to be healthy and to find them the quickest solution to help them get better. Luckily these days there are so many products offering us assistance to help solve the problems of illnesses, especially handy before we need to seek the advice of Doctors. Thankfully we also have more maternal care 24 hour hotline services by phone and online directly to nurses who can give us the advice we need for a newborn baby.

If you do suspect your child is sick and has a fever a thermometer for your home is a great way to check first before seeking medical advice.

A common disruption to feeding and sleeping can be nasal congestion. This is a really important baby health issue and there are products available at the chemists to help decongest your babies nose gently.

Feeding can sometimes be challenging and you may need to start with formula or you may introduce it later. With so many brands on the market it is important to take into consideration the products they contain such as soy which can cause allergies in some babies.

Here are some products that I found useful during this time.

Fess - Little Noses Saline nose spray and Aspirator

Braun - Thermoscan 7+ Ear Thermometer

Chemist Warehouse - Childrens Panadol 1 month to 1 years old

Medela - Symphony Breast Pump

Bellamy’s - Organic Step 1 Infant formula 0 - 6 Months

Tommee Tippee - Natural Start Newborn Starter bottle set

Tommee Tippee - Bottle Warmer

Tommee Tippee - Microsteri Microwave Steam steriliser for Baby bottles
